Artifact #4 Blog/Forum Training
This training took place during our Strand 1 Planning Period Meetings. We had a fairly diverse group of learners present. Some teachers had already used blogs or forums, so they were a huge help to me in providing examples and giving advice to other participants.
The training involved talking to teachers about what Blogs and Forums do and how they can be implemented into classrooms. My favorite part of the training was using Cover It Live! (live blogs) in a fishbowl activity to show our participants how live blogs work. We also set up Cover It Live! accounts for our teachers during this training.
After the training, I had a few teachers approach me to set up Forums for their classes in School Center. Both Denise Orsini and Lisa Vogt set up blogs to be used with their kids as a result of this training.
